When they asked me to do a rhythm style video like the Nike commercials, I didn't even know how to begin to approach this. I recorded the audio in the gym before the shoot, just capturing various sound effects, dribbles, shoe squeaks. We then just shot a whole bunch of the team members dribbling.
I assembled the sound effects into some sort of musical song, and then edited the video to it. In After Effects, I dirtied up the footage with some old style film effects to make it seem more raw. The final slate is from the green screen headshots that we shot later on, and I based it off the banners that will hang from the Schottenstein Rotundas.
